Midterm Exam

I didn't do that well on the midterm. I did alright, but it wasn't my best. I second guessed myself too much and most of the ones I missed I still think that my answer is right because it could have gone either way depending on the way someone thinks. I'm ready to move on and do better next time. Clinicals are on Friday so I am glad I get a day off and pretty excited for the actual clinical. Hopefully I will get a patient who is understanding that I am a nursing STUDENT and have never really given someone a bath before! It will be an interesting experience however I can't say that I won't be pretty happy when I can delegate the dirty work to someone else when I become an RN. For now, it will be a good experience for me and will be humbling as well. Hopefully I won't be as nervous as I was last week going into the clinicals for the first time, but we will see.

  1. Also, to let you know, you will not always be able to delegate. It will more than likely be something that you are faced with on a daily basis as an RN as well, in many different settings. But, i think after you get comfortable with it you won't mind it as much.
Good luck with your clinical, hope you get an awesome patient!

  2. I too found myself second guessing myself on the exam. I think that is going to happen often with the critical thinking questions though.

  3. I definitely need to study a different way next time. I didn't do as well as I thought I did. One good thing about Nursing School is that this information isn't to be chewed up and spit out like the first two years of school. This is real life and were actually using what we learn. I Love It!!
